I think week 23/24 of 2018 has been my 1st successful week at adulting. Cooking, cleaning, working, exercising.Ya know, all the regular day to day stuff I'm supposed to be doing all got done! lol #smallvictories

The Year of Yes
So I finished Shonda Rhimes book "Year of Yes: How to Dance It Out, Stand In the Sun and Be Your Own Person" and I must say that this book was soooooo inspirational. I learned that its OK to be out of your comfort zone and say yes to new and scary things. Its also OK to say no to things you really don't want to do. It's ok to toot your own horn and acknowledge your awesomeness. I also realized at some point you have to stop dreaming and start doing. And most importantly, happiness is a choice....
Adult Friendships Are Hard Work!
Back in the day friendships were formed by proximity. You got ya friends from school, friends in the neighborhood, your parents friends kids….It was all so simple. Now as an adult??.....yea it don’t work like that AT ALL. Forming adult friendships are HARD!!! Because now it’s almost intentional. Even “forced” at times. You have to put yourself out there and basically network because these aren’t the same people you’ve known since Pre-K. So how do you even that? Hi! My name is Sherrell and I wanna be your friend lol. Is that weird?....
Can’t Spell Friend without END…
I can honestly say that friENDship has taught me more than ANYTHING in life. I may or may not be exaggerating, but seriously. I’ve learned so much about myself, interactions, bonding and even loss. Loss of a friEND is probably the biggest of all those things. And with that loss, I've come to the realization that sometimes friENDships end. Maybe badly. Maybe amicably. But they do indeed end. That's just part of growing up....
Am I Good Enough?
Confidence is so attractive! Why? Because it shows acceptance of personal flaws and qualities. It shows that you know who you are and what you have to offer. It's assertive and sometimes even intentional, as far as going for what you want. It's fearless. It's intriguing, making people want to know more. It kinda has this magnetic pull. Think about it. Who doesn't gravitate towards people who have confidence?......
